Kareena Kapoor describes walking the ramp at LFW with baby bump as emotional

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan had the most “special” moment of her life as she walked the ramp flaunting her baby bump.

The 34-year-old actor got emotional and said it would be a walk to remember for her as she and her baby took to the ramp together for the first time.

Kareena turned designer Sabyasachi’s muse for his latest collection that brought the curtain down on the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2016.

“I must say it’s not one but two of us. It’s a very special moment. I have never walked for Sabyasachi before, we were not able to do a film together. But this moment is very special. It’s going to be in the history. I am actually very emotional right now. It is a moment I want everyone to cherish. I would like to say Sabyasachi is not a designer he is an artist. He creates painting. I am really honoured to wear this artist,” Kareena said post the show.

The Ki & Ka star was dressed in a heavily embroided olive green lehenga and a kurti patterned choli with dupatta on her head, looking every inch like a regal bride. Her look was completed by a beautiful maang tika.

The actress was asked if the baby kicked while she was walking on the ramp, to which she replied with laugh saying, “I was too nervous to realise if it happened.”

Kareena is being praised by the industry for not letting the pregnancy come in between her work and the actress said she will never go away from the camera.

“I have always maintained that I work till I die. Acting is my passion. My work is my passion and as long as I am working it makes me happy and that joy shows on face. I am going to continue working.”

The Bollywood diva was all praise for Sabyasachi and said even her mother-in-law, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore, is a big fan of his creations.

“It is pleasure to walk for him. He works magic with his masterstroke. Even my mother-in-law is a huge admirer of his work,” she said praising the designer.

The royal collection titled “Illuminate” revolved around the theme of shimmer, with the colour palette including shades of dust, smoky, shimmery metallics along with strong contrasting jewel tones, like a deep emerald, a rich oxblood, a coffee maroon among others.

Sabyasachi stood by his signature patterns, but this time also ventured into the arena of western wear mixing it with theme of Indian embroidery.

“This time around I wanted to create few dresses. I decided to make some short evening wear, but kept the Indianess alive with my signature work. I can’t leave that as it is the essence of my brand. I am an Indian designer and I can never let that go away from myself,” Sabyasachi told PTI.

The vintage range drew its inspiration from the era of 1920s to 1960s.

It weaved three stories together, first the night clubs in Paris in the 1920’s, second from the Bauhaus school of strict architecture and the third was the celebration of finest quality of needle craft from all across the world.

The designer, who made his runway debut with Lakme Fashion Week in 2002, said doing the grand finale was like a homecoming.

The show was attended by Kareena’s sister Karishma Kapoor, who couldn’t stop adoring her younger sibling as she took to the ramp.

Karishma was seen clicking Kareena’s pictures and cheering for her throughout her long ramp walk.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who has been the designer’s one of the favourite muses, also attended the show.

Actress Kajal Aggarwal and producer-director Divya Kumar Khosla were the other celebrity guests.

Yes, Kareena Kapoor Is Pregnant. So?

Soon after Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan confirmed the news about wife Kareena Kapoor's pregnancy a fortnight ago, speculative reports about what the actress would be up to started doing the rounds.
From speculations about going on a maternity break, to whether the Tashan (2008) actress underwent a sex-determination test in London, to elaborate diet plans ahead of her pregnancy — the media has covered it all.

But in an interview to Hindustan Times, the Ki & Ka actress has expressed her disappointment over the reports.
"I'm pregnant, not a corpse. And what maternity break? It's the most normal thing on earth to produce a child. It is high time the media back off, and stop treating me any different than I ever was. Anybody who is bothered shouldn't work with me... but my work goes on as is, like always."

"Stop making it a national casualty. We are in 2016, not in the 1800s. Probably, even at that time, people were way more civilised and normal than the way the media is behaving and speculating now," says Kareena, adding, "I'm just fed-up of people making it (her pregnancy) to be a death of some sort. In fact, it should be a message to a lot of people that marriage or having a family has absolutely nothing to do with my career," HT quoted her as saying.

On the work front, Kareena has around 18 endorsements and is also planning to finish the shoot of Veere Di Wedding, in which she will share the screen with Sonam Kapoor.
Recently, Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston also lashed out at media for making speculations about her pregnancy.

In an exclusive blog for the Huffington Post, she said, "For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up. I'm fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of "journalism," the "First Amendment" and "celebrity news."
"The objectification and scrutiny we put women through is absurd and disturbing. The way I am portrayed by the media is simply a reflection of how we see and portray women in general, measured against some warped standard of beauty," she further added.

Kareena Kapoor Khan to shoot her first ad post pregnancy news

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan will be shooting her first advertisement post pregnancy news.
The star will be shooting for celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Akhtar for her new range of hair colour products.
“It is going to be a fun concept and both Adhuna and Kareena are very excited about it. They have been discussing this for a while and things have finally materialized. Kareena will mostly be shooting the ad on July 19 and 20,” a source said.

Kareena, who is married to actor Saif Ali Khan , will be blessed with their first child together in December.
The actress will also start working on Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming production Veere Di Wedding in August. The Udta Punjab star will be seen sharing screen space with actress Sonam Kapoor in the film.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan to Move Into Their Dream Home Post Baby

Bollywood's 'it' couple, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are expecting their first child in December and seem to be preparing a checklist to deal with the impending arrival. This includes moving to a bigger house early next year, a well-placed source informs us. They currently reside in Bandra.

"Saif and Kareena are considering shifting to another high-rise in Khar in January. It is the same property that they had bought three years ago for Rs 48 crore. It is their dream home. It only makes sense to move in there after the baby arrives. Work is currently underway to create nursery space," says the source.

The couple had bought four floors of the plush apartment with each floor having 3BHK apartments of 3,000 sq feet each. Celebrity interior designer Nozer Wadia (who has designed homes for celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Gautam Singhania and Arjun Rampal) is said to be looking after the home design and aesthetics.

Bebo is currently in the first trimester of her pregnancy. We hear the fiercely private actress has been having two of the city's best gynaecologists visiting her at home for routine check-ups.

As far as professional commitments go, Kareena will start shooting for a chick flick titled Veere Di Wedding next month with Sonam Kapoor. She will also complete four magazine and ad shoots before going on maternity leave. For this, the actress will shuttle between Delhi and Mumbai and will shoot simultaneously for the film.

Kareena Kapoor Khan not doing Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Baadshaho’

Actor Ajay Devgn starrer “Baadshaho” has been in news over its casting and both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra are not part of this project.

Speculations were rife about Kareena teaming up with Ajay for “Baadshaho”.

“She (Kareena) was approached for the film. She had liked the idea as well. But things did not work out due to date issues. We haven’t finalised anyone yet. We are still working on the script,” sources said.

On Priyanka being part of the project, the source said, “Only speculations are on. It’s just a rumour.”

Earlier actresses Shruti Haasan and Lisa Haydon were going to be part of this project.

T-Series (producer) brings back the intense actor – director pair of “Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai” Ajay Devgn and Milan Luthria in “Baadshaho”.

Both Milan and Ajay have done three films together “Kachche Dhaage”, “Chori Chori” and “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai”.

When contacted Milan told PTI, “There is too much of speculation happening. We have not finalised anyone. I don’t want to say anything at the moment (give names).”

The film is likely to go on floors by May end or early June this year.

“It’s a big release so we need to start on time and get it (shooting) finished by October. The film releases in January (2017) so we need two months for promotions,” the source added.
