Kareena Kapoor: 'It's amazing to work with international brands'

Describing the experience of working with the crew Kapoor told IANS: "It's amazing to work with international brands and teams. Yes, I am shooting an ad with the crew that did the ads for Eva Mendes and Eva Longoria. Their style of working is very different from our own very talented ad-makers."

The actress, who is due to appear at Lakme Fashion Week, also opted for designer Tanya Ghavri for her look in the ad, over her favourite designer Manish Malhotra.

"Manish is family," explained the 31-year-old. "There is no question of replacing him. I just wanted to try another stylist for this ad. We all need to work with different people, experience new strains of creativity. Or we stagnate. And to me stagnation is death."

After walking out of Shuddhi, Kapoor is due to begin shooting for Dev Benegal's Bombay Samurai which also stars Farhan Akhtar.

Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Celebrate New Year's Eve in Switzerland

While couples Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif are ringing in the new year in New York City (they did that last year too), Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor will celebrate new year's eve in Switzerland. The husband and wife are currently in the European country and will ring in the new year there. Saif and Kareena love going on vacations and Europe is where they love to go. In fact, Kareena, has been very vocal about how much she loves the Swiss city of Gstad. "It’s the snow. It keeps my mind off everything else and brings me a lot of peace," she had said in an interview. We are sure the couple's going to have a great time at their favorite holiday destination this New Year.

2015: Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan set for big bollywood releases, zilch from Aamir Khan

From Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s ambitious film ‘Shamitabh’, Ranbir Kapoor’s first ever period drama ‘Bombay Velvet’ to Salman Khan’s Eid outing ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Fan’, the upcoming year will see some major releases at the box-office – no release expected from Aamir Khan whose ‘PK’ movie is driving both box office collections and raging protests in equal measures.
If everything goes as per the plan, Bachchan will have three releases in 2015, starting from ‘Shamitabh’ in which the megastar has reteamed with ‘Paa’ director R Balki. The film, to be released on February 6, also stars ‘Raanjhanaa’ actor Dhanush and will see Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara, making her acting debut.
Veteran actress Rekha is slated to make a guest appearance in the film, however, it is not clear whether she will share the screen space with Bachchan after ‘Silsila’ in 1981.
Bachchan’s ‘Piku’ is another big release of the coming year. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film brings Bachchan and actress Deepika Padukone together as father-daughter for the second time on screen after ‘Aakarshan’. The movie, extensively shot in Kolkata, has Irrfan as the third lead.

Kareena Kapoor Khan to do an item number in Akshay Kumar's 'Brothers'!

Despite being amongst the top notch actresses of the industry, Kareena Kapoor Khan apparently never misses out on a chance of giving her fans a delight for eyes with her special numbers if few Bollywood projects. Once again, the actress has reportedly been signed to do an item number in upcoming flick ‘Brothers’.

The actress has been widely known for his outstanding performances in several dance numbers and the upcoming song is going to be another addition to the long list.

She has been seen in some of the biggest hit item songs of the industry. Be it her ‘Fevicol’ song from Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg 2’, or Marjaani from Shahrukh Khan starrer Billu, all have been super-duper hits.

Kareena Kapoor to shake a leg with Sidharth Malhotra

Kareena Kapoor will reportedly be seen making a special song appearance in Karan Johar’s production, tentatively titled ‘Brothers’.

Kareena will shake a leg with the Ek Villain actor Sidharth Malhotra in the song that will be composed by Ajay-Atul. Karan Johar is said to have met Kareena and convinced her to do the song with Sidharth. The number will be shot early next year.

Karan Johar and Kareena Kapoor’s bonding goes a long way. She was last seen in his production 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' which, alas, was a flop.

'Brothers' is directed by Karan Malhotra (of Agneepath fame) and is an official remake of the Hollywood movie ‘Warrior’ which told the story of two estranged brothers whose entrance into a mixed martial arts tournament forces them to come to terms with their past.

The Hindi remake stars Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar. Sidharth has a new look for the movie. The film’s shooting is almost wrapped up.

Kareena, Karisma, Ranbir at Shashi Kapoor's sumptuous Christmas brunch

After attending the Midnight Mass with mom Babita, Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor attended the dinner party hosted by grand uncle and veteran actor Shashi Kapoor.
Actor Shashi Kapoor threw a lavish X-Mas brunch at his residence in Mumbai where entire Kapoor ‘khandaan’ marked its presence.
Randhir Kapoor, Krishna Kapoor and her second son Rishi Kapoor arrived one after another. Rishi was accompanied by his daughter Riddhima, granddaughter Samara, wife Neetu Kapoor and son-in-law Bharat Sahni.

Ranbir Kapoor too attended this gala brunch and as expected minus girlfriend Katrina Kaif, who is in London with her family.
Incidentally, RK Jr is supposed to take a flight out to New York today. As reported earlier, he will be joined by Kat in the Big Apple for New Year celebrations.

For the past few years, Shashi Kapoor has not been in the best of health. However, the practice of the Christmas lunch has continued with Shashi playing host
Despite a family affair, all were seen at their fashionable best.

Ranbir Kapoor arrived in casual wear with shades and a skullcap. Kareena Kapoor dressed in black with a bright red lipcolour that matched her nails, while Saif wore jeans with a tee shirt and jacket.
Sister Karisma was all festive in red as she arrived with her children Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapoor.

Ranbir's sister Riddima looked radiant with red top and blue denims. Her daughter Samara followed mother's step and looked lovely in red frock.

Neetu Singh looked alluring in a collared blouse with white skinnys. Former actor Karan Kapoor arrived with daughter Aliya. Karan is the younger son of Shashi Kapoor.

As per the pictures shared on Instagram, the Kapoor clan had a fun time with family. The ladies of Kapoor Khaandan didn't forget to strike a pose after the lunch.
Christmas brought together the entire Kapoor clan all under one roof.

Varun Dhawan: Why would a filmmaker cast me and Kareena Kapoor together?

We have seen a lot of unusual pairings in Bollywood, but younger actors starring opposite older actresses is still not a thing in B-town. So we weren’t surprised when Kareena Kapoor said that she would not prefer being paired with Varun Dhawan. Apparently, she was offered a film opposite the Main Tera Hero actor, but Bebo rejected it saying that she would rather have dinner with him than romance him on the silver screen.
And even Varun agrees with Kareena for he recently said that working with Saif Ali Khan’s wifey will only depend on the script. He said, “I think Bebo is absolutely correct. Salman Khan's much awaited film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" with director Kabir Khan will release during Eid 2015, but the makers might release the trailer of the film in January.

The trailer of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was supposed to release with Aamir Khan's "PK" to give a treat to Salman's fans on his birthday, but the makers decided to postpone the launch date.
Both Salman and Kabir felt that it's not a good idea to attach the trailer of their film with "PK".
However, a latest report suggests that the first look of the film, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, will be released with Arbaaz Khan's movie "Dolly Di Doli".
"Though it's all tentative, but Kabir and Salman are considering attaching the first look of the film with Dolly Di Doli. However, a good chunk of the film is still left and it would still be a bad marketing strategy to release the first look 6 months in advance. Let's see, it's all still in talks," a source close to the film told The Times of India.
Kabir had previously said that he might release the first look by January end. And since "Dolly Di Doli" is releasing on 23 January worldwide, they thought of attaching the trailer with that film.
"Kabir had in fact once mentioned that the first look can be ready to be revealed sometime end January and Arbaaz's film seems like just the right cue," the source explained.
Meanwhile, expectations from "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is very high as it marks the comeback of "Ek Tha Tiger" hit jodi Salman and Kabir. The fact that the film is set to release on Eid adds to the hype.
The film also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles.

Don't know if Kareena Kapoor is a part of 'Udta Punjab'; the filmmakers will reveal that when the time comes: Shahid Kapoor

Actor Shahid Kapoor, who once dated actress Kareena Kapoor, has said that he has never refused to work with the latter and that he is not sure about her joining the cast of "Udta Punjab".
Rumours are abuzz that Shahid and Kareena have been signed for "Udta Punjab" to be helmed by director Abhishek Chaubey.
On being asked about pairing with Kareena, Shahid said: "I have never said no (to working with Kareena Kapoor)..."

"In 'Udta Punjab', I am there and that's all I know. Rest the film's producer and director will reveal when the time will come," he added.
Shahid and Kareena, who dated for more than four years, broke up in 2007. Together, they worked in films like "Fida", "36 China Town", "Milenge Milenge" and "Chup Chup Ke", among others.
Post break-up, their last movie together was Imtiaz Ali's "Jab We Met", which was a runaway success.

Priyanka Chopra takes a dig at Kareena Kapoor?

That Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan do not share a friendly vibe is known to all. The two shared the screen together in Aitraaz, however, post the release things turned bitter between the two actresses.

Kareena Kapoor who is currently busy shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan along with Salman Khan was caught painting the sets of the film. Yes, Salman Khan seems to have influenced the leading lady to lend a hand in the ongoing social cause. In her free time on the sets the actress often paints the sets of Bajrangi Bhaijaan as part of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. A initiative which was first started by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has slowly taken over Bollywood.

Already a number of celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan has done their part of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan and now the latest member to join this bandwagon is Kareena Kapoor. In the picture you can spot the actress dressed in casuals and painting the walls yellow. She was even spotted at the sangeet ceremony of her favourite designer and best friend Manish Malhotra. He often the person who designs her looks in all her films. anyways kudos to Kareena for joining this good cause. On the profession front, she doesn't have much projects but she is seen doing guest appearances in quite a few films.

Kareena Kapoor Khan To Play Salman Khan’s Ex Girlfriend Sangeeta Bijlani In Azharuddin Biopic?

The latest trend in Bollywood that filmmakers are pitching are biopics on famous personalities. After Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag played by Farhan Akhtar, and MC Mary Kom played by Priyanka Chopra, and the very recent MS Dhoni played by Sushant Singh rajput, we have still another one in the offing, a biopic on cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin.

While it was reported that Emraan Hashmi will be playing the titular character in Mohammad Azharuddin‘s biopic, buzz is that Kareena Kapoor Khan will essay the role of Sangeeta Bijlani in the film.

Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor is interested in doing the Azharuddin biopic because she hasn’t done any bio-pics yet. She has also not worked with Emraan Hashmi so far. It all depends on the length of the role.

And now since Saif and Kareena make it a point to bring in the new year at Gstaad every year, so reportedly, Kareena Kapoor will take a call on the Azharuddin bio-pic after she returns.

Kareena Kapoor to hear the script of Azharuddin biopic after returning from Switzerland!

Just a few days back, we told you that Ekta Kapoor is quite keen on casting Bebo as Sangeet Bijalani in her upcoming biopic. Looks like things are falling into place but we hear Kareena will sign on the dotted only if her criteria is fulfilled.
That Emraan Hashmi has been roped in to play Mohammad Azharuddin on the silver screen is known to all! The B-town hunk has already started preparing for his role and is even taking training from Azharuddin himself. While The Dirty Picture actor will reprise the role of former Indian cricket captain, Kareena Kapoor Khan may come on board to play Sangeeta Bijlani’s character.
However, things will materialise only after Bebo returns from her annual vacation. Like every year, the B-town beauty will zoom off to Gstaad, Swizterland with her hubby Saif Ali Khan to ring in New Year. So Bebo will take a call on the biopic after coming back from her holiday.
While talking to a leading portal, a close friend of the actress said, “She is interested in doing the Azharuddin biopic because she hasn’t done any bio-pics yet. She has also not worked with Emraan Hashmi so far. It all depends on the length of the role. She will be hearing the script from director Tony D’Souza as soon as she returns from her annual vacation in Gstaad in Switzerland.” Kareena’s close buddy further added, “It all depends on how much space the script has created for the female protagonist. At this juncture of her career, Bebo is not interested in playing the supporting female lead.
She did do Singham Returns this year. But that was more because Rohit Shetty is a dear friend.” Well, let’s hope things work out for Kareena and Emraan this time around because the two have been wanting to together for the longest time and even we can’t wait any longer to this hatke jodi on the big screen.

When Kareena Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor refused to give a statement in Saif Ali Khan’s brawl case

The Happy Ending actor was involved in a brawl at a posh hotel in 2012. In a twist to the 2012 brawl involving Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and a South African businessman, it has now emerged that actor-sisters Kareena and Karisma Kapoor did not depose before police despite they being present at the time of the incident at a top city hotel.
“The statements of Kareena Kapoor and her sister Karishma were not recorded in connection with the Saif brawl case. We tried to persuade the duo, who was present at the spot, but they were not forthcoming about recording their statements over the incident,” said a police officer. Hence, the charge sheet filed in December 2012 did not have the statements of the Kapoor sisters, he said. ”I have learnt the two (Kareena and Karishma) were not keen to depose (before the police). The two were not prime witnesses and hence their statements might not have been recorded,” said Additional Commissioner of Police (South Region) Krishna Prakash today.
At the time of the scuffle, Prakash was not in-charge of Mumbai’ South Region, where the brawl took place in February 2012. Legal experts found fault with police’s approach with regard to the celerity sisters. Noted lawyer Abha Singh said, “Police have the right to summon witnesses if they are not ready to come forward. In fact, the Kapoor sisters were part of the group that indulged in fighting with the victim and hence they should also have been charged in the case.”
Saif allegedly assaulted the South-Africa based businessman Iqbal Mir Sharma and his father-in-law at a luxury hotel in South Mumbai’s Colaba. Ten months later, police filed a charge sheet against the filmstar and his two friends. Saif and his friends — Shakeel Ladak and Bilal Amrohi — were charged under IPC Section 325 (assault). Statements of 29 people were also attached to the chargesheet. After the brawl, Saif and his two friends were arrested on a complaint filed by Sharma. The trio was later released on bail.
The 44-year-old actor was in company of his wife Kareena, Karishma, family friends Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Arora and a few male friends at the time of the incident. According to police, when Sharma protested the raucous chatter of the actor and his friends, Saif allegedly threatened them and subsequently punched Sharma in the nose, fracturing it. The NRI businessman also accused Saif and his friends of hitting his father-in-law Raman Patel. However, Saif had maintained Sharma used abusive language against the women accompanying him and this led to the scuffle.

Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Soha’s royal outing at Ranthambore National Park

The Khan family was in Rajasthan few days back to celebrate Sharmila Tagore’s 70th birthday…

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore recently turned 70 and her whole family was present on her special day. Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan and her fiance Kunal Kemm1u headed to Ranthambore National Park to bring in Sharmilaji’s birthday.
Though Bebo has been busy shooting for Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan along with co-star Salman Khan, she made sure to take some time off from her hectic schedule to be there for mother-in-law’s birthday celebrations. Going by the pictures it seems the Happy Ending actor and his whole family had a gala time time at the national park.
Not only Saif and his wifey went on a jungle safari, they even managed to spot a tigress who was enjoying her prey with her three cubs. Soha also got lucky and spotted two tigers. She even shared the picture on Twitter and wrote, “My first sighting of the majestic tiger in the wild #Sherbagh Ranthambore – humbling and awe-inspiring.”
The Rang De Basanti also tweeted few days back, “Stunning at Seventy!! Thank you all for the birthday wishes for my mother – she is feeling very blessed and grateful.”

Kareena to lock-lips with Emraan in Azharuddin’s biopic

Kareena Kapoor has been roped in to play Sangeet Bijlani in former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin’s biopic and the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi has been signed to play the cricketer. Kareena is yet to give her nod but Emraan is said to have given his acceptance.
According to an insider, the biggest hurdle Kareena Kapoor is facing to accept the role is the lip-locking scenes.  Since Kareena is playing Azhar‘s second wife Sangeet who was a former model and Bollywood actress, steamy scene is a must. It has to a major part of the movie. Post marriage, Kareena has maintained a no-kissing clause and now kissing Emraan Hashmi in the film has been a big question on the actress's part.
Ekta Kapoor is trying her level best to convince Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently busy shooting ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ with Salman Khan while Emraan Hashmi is quickly wrapping ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahaani’. .
On the other hand, Emraan whose last film, ‘Ungli’ failed miserably at the box-office has already started taking some cricketing lesson from the former cricketer. Sangeet part ways with Azhar due to some unknown reasons on mutual consent years back.
Kareena and Emraan have never worked together in the past. Well, it all up to Saif whether he will permit his dearest begum to lock-lips with Emraan.
