The makers of the film "Ki and Ka" are about to release the film's first look on the first day of New Year. Cinematographer PC Sreeram claims the first look of the Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor-starrer film will be unique.

"The behind the camera stars to feature in this first look to be launched 1.1.2016. This will be the first of its kind, (sic)" tweeted Sreeram. When the director is R Balki, it is not surprising to see him coming up with unique ideas.

The tweet has for sure increased curiosity among the audience. The uniqueness of the poster can only be judged on 1 January, when it will be released. However, the first looks of Arjun and Kareena have already been released on social media.

In "Ki and Ka", Kareena will play the character of an independent career-oriented woman who is the bread winner of the family. On the other hand, the "2 States" actor will appear in the role of a "house husband".

Apart from this fresh pair, Balki has also roped in yesteryear pair Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan in a special appearance.The real-life couple is going to share screen space after 14 years. The last time they appeared together on screen was in Karan Johar's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".

Interestingly, this will be the fourth film of Big B and Balki, after "Cheeni Kum", "Paa" and "Shamitabh". Like other Balki's films, "Ki and Ka" is also expected to have something interesting and different in the story. Till now, it is clear that the story is about a couple who are not like regular husband and wife.

Woh 30 Din: That's how many days Kareena Kapoor stayed away from Saif Ali Khan!

It’s been an entire month since Kareena Kapoor Khan has seen her Nawab. BothSaif Ali Khan and Begum Bebo had busy work schedules and it was only on Wednesday that they managed to meet. Now, they fly to London and Switzerland to bring in Christmas and the New Year. They return on January 10.

Kareena admits, “I think we met last on November 22 when he began shooting for Rangoon. He was shooting nights and I was working days. Last week, I was in Bangkok for an ad shoot. Saif would come back at 7 am, by which time I had left home for my brand shoots and other commitments. I came back from Bangkok, immediately had to leave for Delhi and just got back this Wednesday. I hadn’t met Saif for a month. It was just the  day after his first schedule for Rangoon was completed, that he returned home. I finished my shoot (for Ki And Ka) and came home so we could finally spend some time together in the evening. There has been too much work happening for the two of us and last month has been chaotic!”

Adds the actress, “We missed each other so much… I don’t like being away from Saif for so long. Now for our winter holidays, we can spend some quality time together. We both love London and the Swiss Alps (they stay at a chalet there every year) and it’s a wonderful break for us as we can be with our friends without getting disturbed by work pressure.” Saif and Kareena brought in Christmas eve with her mother Babita, sister Karisma and her two children at Babita’s Bandra home, attended midnight mass with her family at a church in Bandra and flew off to London today.

You won't believe who Kareena Kapoor Khan's first crush was

The Harper's Bazaar Bride bride is modern, liberated, and never shy of courting the new waves of fashion, and our cover girl Kareena Kapoor Khan is the epitome of this individualistic woman. So, ours is an enduring love affair, which has renewed once again in Barcelona, Spain.

Our first question of course has to be about your marriage. Having been married for three years, is there a change or is it just like your last year's experience we remember?
It doesn't really change-I never want it to change, I always want it to be in this space of friendship, love, and respect.

So you don't think things change with time?
The problem is that in a typical marriage, things change but the difference here is that both Saif and me don't look at marriage like that. We look at it as being together because we love each other. We respect each other a lot and marriage is just a term for the fact that we are together-a typical marriage is a further world that is really not for us. We don't look at it as 'so now we are married and this is what it's going to be'; we don't even discuss that, and it's not even a part.

And how long has it been for you both?
Nearly a decade. I think next year will be a decade.

When you look at a man, what is the first quality that impresses you?
Well definitely, the first thing you look for in a man is his looks, and I guess I am blessed with one of India's most good looking men.

And then beyond the looks?
I think a man has to be a package of everything. It's the personality. For someone like Saif, his good looks overpower him at first glance, but he has a sense of culture, a sense of history, and he's intelligent. He does not come across as just charming because people who can charm can be shallow. Saif is not like that. He can have an equally intriguing conversation with an Oxford scholar or a Bollywood person. Honestly speaking, I haven't met too many actors like that.

So I think you want a super-man and you've got a super-man.
Yes, I mean just bright-like a shiny star.

What puts you off in a man?
I think a man who never gets his hands dirty. Like those kids who live off their millionaire-billionaire dads' wealth, wasting it away. I can't understand that because I am a working woman. Saif also comes from a very royal family but he had to struggle his way up and make his own mark.

First crush ever?
I remember Aashiqui had released, and I was crazy about the music, and Rahul Roy!

And are you crushing on somebody right now?
No, definitely not. The problem is that I don't mind crushing on someone but it's really difficult to match up to Saif.

Who is your favourite actor?
Leonardo DiCaprio.

Your favourite male co-star?
Aamir Khan.

A fictional character you admire?
I think the character of Joker in Batman; I think it's very sexy.

Your male best friend?
Karan Johar.

Where would you take Saif for a surprise vacation?
Right here in Barcelona, Spain! It's so beautiful that I want to experience this with Saif.

Who do you think is the most stylish man?
It has to be Daniel Craig-I think he looks amazing. It is also because I love Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz together. I think they make an extremely stylish couple.

What about sportsmen? Are you a fan of anyone?
I love tennis. And I think Roger Federer is quite cool. He is so great at what he does, and also just as a person. I've seen him and I think he carries himself really well.

Your favourite accessory on a man?
I don't think accessories look good on men. A man's best accessory is his personality and the way he carries himself. And accessories are too girly!

I have been told to ask you this cheeky question. Your favourite part in a man?
I like men with broad shoulders.

What about shoes?
I definitely judge a man's character by his shoes. So yes, someone who wears really cool shoes is admirable.

What advice would you give a Harper's Bazaar Bride groom?
Like you said, a Harper's Bazaar Bride bride stands for a really modern bride with a great mind and super style. So I think a groom should learn to respect a Harper's Bazaar Bride bride. First respect the mind and then the body.

Your must-have beauty product?
I love the Lakme Absolute Lip Pout range! I love that it comes in essential basics such as tangerines and reds such as the ones used in this shoot. Bright colours always look good on my complexion; so I love all their colours.

Tell us about your upcoming movie.
The idea is to always do something different and Ki and Ka is a first-of-its-kind film in India--a stay-at-home husband and a woman. You would see Arjun Kapoor at home making food for me, while I am the working woman wearing the boots. Modern society is full of couples like these where the women run corporate offices or are editors! And the men support that and look after the kids at home. So it's about changing times and women carving a new equality niche.

Hrithik Roshan to romance Kareena Kapoor in Sanjay Gupta's next?

It's been 12 years since Hrithik Roshan romanced Kareena Kapoor on the silver screen. The once-upon-a-time popular on-screen pair teamed up together for Yaadein (2001), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003). But since then two have never worked together. Buzz has it that the two fell in love on the sets of Subhash Ghai's Yaadein but since Hrithik was already married, the two decided to part ways amicably. However, if things go well, the two will yet again unite for a film.

According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Kareena and Hrithik will reunite for Rakesh Roshan's next home production. The film is set to be a love-cum-revenge drama and is set to be helmed by Sanjay Gupta. A source close to the actor was quoted as telling the daily, "Yes, the makers have approached Kareena and she has liked the script. It is a daringly different and challenging role. She's good friends with Hrithik and keen to pair up with him but she has yet to sign on the dotted line."

The script of the film is said to be locked only a week ago and reports suggest that it will go on floors in February 2016. "After hearing the story, Rakesh and Hrithik immediately decided to come on board. The film was supposed to go on the floors in June since Hrithik had other commitments. But he will now start work on Gupta's film in February," the source added.

Sanjay Gupta later took to Twitter to confirm the news of roping in Hrithik for his next film. However, the director remained tight-lipped about the leading lady of his film.

The first schedule of the film is set to be shot in Mumbai and reportedly, the Jodha Akbar actor will wrap up the shooting by May. "Hrithik will be filming his solo sequences first and a lavish set will be designed in a Mumbai studio in January. The leading lady will be locked next week," the source concluded.

While Hrithik is currently busy shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker's Mohenjo Daro, Kareena has wrapped up the shooting of R Balki's Ki and Ka.

Shahid Kapoor preferred former lover Kareena Kapoor over Alia Bhatt in Udta Punjab!

Now that Shandaar has come and gone without a whimper, all eyes are on Shahid Kapoor’s next.Early next year, Shahid and Alia Bhatt are coming together once again, with Kareena Kapoor Khan in a special appearance for Udta Punjab. Our source reveals, “The makers are eyeing an early 2016 release for Udta Punjab. It will release mostly around February-end or in March.”

Shahid calls it a ‘special film’. He says, “Udta Punjab on paper might seem dark and edgy, but once you see that film, I can assure you it’s the kind of role any actor would die for. When I heard the script, I instantly agreed. There were three other characters and we were waiting for them to be cast. Nobody was saying yes to the film and we could not start. It took some time for the film to get cast.”

After sitting through the narration, the first thing Shahid did was recommend Bebo’s name to director Abhishek Chaubey. “Actually, I never wanted to recommend Kareena because I was scared thinking about how people will perceive that again. When I was narrated the film, I thought of Kareena even before Alia. The role that Kareena plays, I felt she was just perfect for the role.” Bebo being Bebo took her own sweet time to give her nod for a script reading session. Shahid continues, “But then somehow, maybe Kareena was not free and it got a bit delayed. Then somehow within that month, Kareena heard the script and said yes to the film. It kind of happened and I felt really happy when it did.”

About Alia, he says, “Initially, when Kareena didn’t have time for the narration, I told Alia that woh role ki casting toh nahi ho rahi hai, tu yeh role karegi kya? She read that role and she said she really liked it.” Shahid’s all praise for both his co-actors. Alia’s performance in the film ‘bowled’ him over, “Alia has an amazing role in the film. In fact, everyone’s role in that film is incredibly good. But at that point of time, maybe I had just learnt to take risks with Haider paying off, I have become a little more fearless. A lot of people were not confident enough to take up a film like Udta Punjab and it required a lot of confidence as an actor and as a star because as a star, you are doing things to surprise the people and you don’t know how they will eventually react. As an actor, all roles are very challenging. When I told Alia to go through it, I felt Alia is as much an actor as she is a star. So therefore she would understand what potential that content had and she did.”

What about Kareena? “Obviously, I feel she’s the best thing about the film because I was the one to give her name and I think highly of her as an actor,” he signs off.

Kareena Kapoor Khan was present at a child rights event in Raipur organized by Chhattisgarhschool education and child welfare department along with the UNICEF India on Friday. The state chief minister was so star struck with Bebo‘s presence that he attempted to click a selfie with the Ki and Ka actress between a session!

The photo went viral on social media and slammed Raman Singh for his misbehaviour. Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is the UNICEF India’s “celebrity advocate”, was a special guest of the function and the CM was a chief guest.

Congress president lashed Singh’s acts and was quoted saying, “Farmers are committing suicide in the state due to draught and the chief minister is busy clicking selfie with Kareena,” He accused Singh of ignoring the issue at hand, that is farmer suicides.

“What does the chief minister want to prove by clicking a selfie with Kareena Kapoor when women of the state are being insulted by the state government? The people of Chhattisgarh are far away from such culture. Here, people don’t celebrate if a bad incident takes place,” he told a leading daily.

Kareena Kapoor wears 32 kg lehenga for a song in 'Ki and Ka'

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has shot for a song for R. Balki's 'Ki and Ka' wearing a Manish Malhotra-designed lehenga which weighs over 30 kg.

A source knowledgeable about the development said: "Though Kareena sports a completely western look throughout the film, she didn't want to disappoint her fans and hence went completely Indian for the song in 'Ki And Ka'. Her lehenga weighs over 32 kg and is designed by close friend Manish Malhotra."The lehenga, which is said to be adorned with heavy zardosi work on several layers of net, was donned by the 'Jab We Met' actress for a song choreographed by Bosco. She shot for the number over two days at a suburban studio here.

"Kareena shot in this heavy lehenga in the scorching heat for over two days and wowed everyone with her ability to maintain her cool despite the challenging outfit and temperature," the source added.

'Ki and Ka' also features Arjun Kapoor.

Alia Bhatt Not 'Standing Opposite' Kareena Kapoor in Udta Punjab

Actress Alia Bhatt, who has starred with Shahid Kapoor in romantic comedy Shaandaar, says that she will feature in her own story in upcoming film Udta Punjab and will not be "standing opposite" Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film. 

"I'm not standing opposite Kareena in Udta Punjab. There are four different tracks in the film. Her track is different from mine. Similarly, Shahid and Diljit Dosanjh will have their own tracks," Alia told IANS. 

Udta Punjab, which is currently under production, will be the first movie in which Alia will co-star with another actress in a film. 

When asked whether she feels competitive in Bollywood, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan said: "Competition is inevitable in life. But I don't think that one should pay too much attention to what all is happening around. We are all happy people doing good work and just proud and happy for each other." 

So does she feel any pressure being a star kid? 

Alia said: "When I made my debut, I didn't make it in my family production. So it has nothing to do with whether I come from a film background or not. Secondly, my expectations and pressure that I feel is to please the people who watch and appreciate my work." 

"I just wish to please the audience and keep them happy. I try and hope to do as many versatile characters as I can," she added. 

Alia started her career with Student Of The Year and has movies like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, 2 States and Highway.

From Hollywood stars to Bollywood celebs, everybody has been actively voicing their opinion on the gender wage gap these days. Kareena Kapoor too has opened up about the disparity in remuneration.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the Bollywood diva expressed her lack of concern about the ongoing debate. “Everyone has raised a hue and cry [about the issue], and so many figures are being tossed around, but I’ve never had an issue,” said the actress.
“I’m not complaining about the fact that I’m not paid well. I don’t know what others get but I know what I get paid. And the fact is, I’m very happy with that,” she added.

She also revealed that the audience just cares about “good scripts” nowadays, it doesn’t matter if the lead role is played by a male or a female actor.
“It’s good to say that heroine-oriented films are working now, but I think it’s just the good scripts. And hopefully, we will get a lot more entertaining scripts in time to come,” she added.

Kareena Kapoor Khan has been one of the most popular actors in Bollywood for over a decade now. She says that, even today, she is as passionate about her work as she was when she was a newcomer, because cinema is her greatest passion. She made her debut at the age of 20 (with Refugee, 2000), and till date has starred in around 50 films. Yet, she shows no signs of slowing down. You have acted in different kinds of films. What do you see yourself doing in the future?

I want to act all my life. It’s something that I do and love. I just want to try out different things. I’m glad that I am in a position to choose. I’m happy because my journey in the industry has been amazing so far. I enjoy what I do and I’m very passionate about it. Even 25 years down the line, I want to give an interview and say that there’s still something that I haven’t done; that there’s that one movie I can still do.

It’s believed that there’s been a change in your attitude, and you’ve become more approachable over the years…

I think that’s part of becoming more mature. And that comes with time. I belong to the film industry. I was born here. From the age of 16, it’s always been about films for me. And movies are my life. A normal person would have attended college, proms, socials, etc.; I never had the privilege of doing all that. But it’s something I never miss. There are other things that I can do now, which I enjoy. I take my time out, travel, read… So, I’m making up for it now in other ways.

Actresses often express their views on the disparity between the pay cheques of male and female stars in Bollywood. What are your thoughts on this?

A hue and cry is raised, and so many figures go around. But I’ve never had an issue. I’m not complaining about the fact that I’m not paid well. I don’t know what others get, but I know what I get paid, and the fact is, I’m very happy with that.

Do the budgets of your films determine how much you get paid?

When you’re working on a big-budget film, then obviously your pay is more. Budgets of heroine-oriented films are a lot less, and that’s how the movie makes money at the box office. I’ve always balanced things out by doing big-budget films for the fat paycheques, along with smaller films for the interesting roles. So, I have no complaints.

Are women getting better roles and opportunities in Bollywood now?

I think the audience is accepting of good scripts now. It’s as simple as that. The lead can be a man or a woman. It doesn’t matter.

Heroine-oriented scripts have been working since Aradhana (1969) and Seeta Aur Geeta (1972). Karisma (Kapoor; Kareena’s older sister) did Fiza (2000) and Zubeidaa (2001). Every film works mainly because of its entertainment value. For example, Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a Salman Khan film, but it’s the story that worked, and the child actor (Harshaali Malhotra) carried the film on her shoulders. It’s good to say that heroine-oriented films are working now, but I think it’s just the good scripts. And we, hopefully, will get a lot more entertaining scripts in the time to come.

Here is why Kareena Kapoor Khan refused to get intimate with Arjun Kapoor in 'Ki and Ka'

Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is following the no kissing policy after she married Saif Ali Khan, was uncomfortable about getting intimate with Arjun Kapoor in "Ki & Ka".

R Balki's directorial features Kareena and Arjun as a married couple and thus, the script demanded a few intimate scenes. But Bebo conveyed her discomfort to the director and he had to then dilute the scenes, according to Absolute India.

In the flick, Kareena will play the character of an independent, career-oriented woman who is the breadwinner of the house. On the other hand, her co-star Arjun will portray a house husband.

"Ki & Ka" has created a lot of buzz since the beginning and the interesting title of the film -- 'Ki' derived from the word 'ladki' (girl) and 'Ka' is taken from 'ladka' (boy) -- has got fans even more curious.

The film is about a boy and a girl who get married, but their lifestyle is different from regular couples.

Director Balki is working hard to make it a masterpiece and before the shooting commenced, he, Arjun and Kareena were ''locked up" in the director's office for a week to rehearse the script.

The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya in a special appearance.

The reel and real life couple is going to share screen space after 14 years. They last appeared together on-screen in Karan Johar's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".

Meanwhile, Big B and R Balki are teaming up for the fourth time after "Cheeni Kum", "Paa" and "Shamitabh".

Kareena Kapoor Khan uncomfortable doing intimate scenes with Arjun Kapoor?

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has been following the no-kissing policy, ever since she tied the knot with Nawab Saif Ali Khan, seems to have expressed her discomfort performing intimate scenes with actor Arjun Kapoor in R.Balki's 'Ki and Ka'.

 

In the film, Kareena plays the role of a working wife  where as Arjun is her husband, who manages the household chores. According to a report in Absolute India, the buzz was that the script had some intimate moments between Arjun and Bebo, which the latter wasn't comfortable shooting.

 

She conveyed the same to R. Balki who agreed to change it and made certain altercations.However, what was edited out is something that one isn't aware about.

 

The film, which releases sometime next year, is already in the news for its unusual casting and Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya Bachchan's cameo in the film.

Kareena Kapoor finalises her next project

Kareena Kapoor Khan has wrapped upUdta Punjab, is shooting for Ki And Ka withArjun Kapoor and has now decided on her next film, which will be directed byShoaib Mansoor and produced by Krishika Lulla. 

A source reveals, “Kareena wanted to do a film with Shoaib  and when the director learned about it, he came down to India to discuss a few ideas with her. She has liked them and will take up a film with him soon.”

Krishika Lulla, who’s come on board as the producer     , tells us, “It’s true, Shoaib and I are collaborating for a female-oriented film.” She remains tight-lipped abiout the deails, “It’s still in the scripting stage.” She has already been successful with two female centric films —NH10 and Tanu Weds Manu Returns — and hopes to have a hattrick with this film. 

She is hesitant to talk about Bebo’s presence in the film. Nevertheless, our sources confirm that the producer, the director and the actress will meet shortly to finalise the project.

Kareena Kapoor Says Deepika Padukone & Katrina Kaif Are Cordial

Apparently, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone all go to the same gym. Kapoor has supposedly seen the two co-exist peacefully, contrary to media speculation.  According to FilmiBeat Kapoor says, "They run on parallel treadmills at the gym. They aren't BFFs or anything, but are cordial. There is never an awkward moment between them." The entire tabloid press in a state of great shock. Could it be that in reality there is no Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif feud?

A hot rumor floating around the web some weeks ago was that Kaif, in a fit of jealousy and furious about not being invited, crashed the wrap party forTamasha, the film her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and Padukone had just finished. Kaif has sensed both rubbished and laughed off the idea.

So, while the Deepika/Katrina feud may not be true, there are plenty of other people available for Ranbir's ladies to feud with, such as Kareena Kapoor, who Zee News said had a tiff with Katrina over her nationality. As for Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor, well, Deepika seems to feud with everybody.

Here’s how Kareena Kapoor celebrated her 35th birthday!

Kareena Kapoor Khan turns 35! Yes, the actress who’s gifted us with some memorable performances over the last one and half decades is celebrating her 35th birthday today. And look what hubbySaif Ali Khan did for her. Like last year, Bebo wanted to spend her birthday at the Pataudi Palace this year as well. And Bebo’s wish was Saif’s command.

Saif immediately arranged everything to make Bebo the happiest on her birthday and also got her besties from B-Town flown to Pataudi to be there beside her on her special day. The entire gang of girls made quite a splash at the palace and here’s how Bebo rang in her birthday. 

Kareena and Saif, along with her doting sister Karisma Kapoor and closest friends Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora Khan arrived at the Pataudi Palace early on Sunday. Cool and casual, the actresses could be seen sporting short with Bebo killing it in her hot pants and ganjee look. From what it seems, this was a part of the pre-birthday celebrations and all you needed was a collage of selfies!

Kareena is the closest to her sister Karisma and vice versa. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor have fun on sets of ‘Ki and Ka

The lad‘Ki’ and lad‘Ka’ – Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor were spotted having fun on the sets with their hair stylist Pompy Hans. Team ‘Ki and Ka’ is in Delhi to shoot a certain sequence for the film. This pic is a colourful one as we can see Arjun and Kareena sporting bright colours.
The team has been shooting in Hauz Khaas area and while shooting in the lanes of Delhi, Arjun Kapoor got reminded of his ‘2 States’ filming and he shared, “Something khaas about shooting in hauz khas village again...back here after @2StatesMovie #newdlehicity #KiandKa.”
Before leaving for Delhi they shot a low-key wedding sequence at the Mumbai's Mehboob studios and Kareena was spotted wearing a temple green sari and red bangles for the sequence. She looked lovely! Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan also have a special appearance in this R. Balki film.
